McDonald’s Drive Thru

This is probably fine in the US, as the English language there has accepted that thru is a word. Here in the UK though? Nah. We have got some proper words, and we are going to write them out in full.

Since McDonald’s is an international company and brand, the original sign is all about making the experience regular for all customers, no matter where in the world they are.

Seriously? There are tons of spelling and grammar errors all over this post.

This is probably fine in the US, as the English language *their* has accepted that thru is a word.

Haha, got me *they’re*. That post, in fact the whole site, was rushed together late one night and I haven’t got back to clean it up yet. One day, I’ll get back to it, and dig out some good examples to learn from, and some more horrors out in the wild.

So far this site is flippant, and I make no apologies for that, but one day it would be nice to give it a more serious side. I’m convinced we can all learn while having a giggle. In the end, it’s not going to change anything. Probably.

It was thrown together as the seed of an idea a few months ago, and I think needs a reboot. The approach I want to take, is to make it a a fun and educational resource. Hopefully I’ll get this done before Christmas, but if you have any ideas that could feed into it in the meantime, please feel free to get in touch.
